Cellular service in far Waziristan?

In a story from the AP about fighters for both sides of the conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan they say that the reporters cell phones were confiscated by the local militia. This makes me think the story is a fake. Unless the cellular phones they use in Pakistan are far superior to ours here in Knoxville, they couldn't possibly be getting service in a war zone.

It just doesn't make logical sense that a geurilla war would be fought with intact cell towers all over the place.

CNN credibility nonexistent.

The credibility of CNN "reporting" has gone completely out the window. This cannot be attributed solely to laziness. It has to be a calculated policy of distortion. To wit:

Bubba went to North Korea. He showed up on Kim's doorstep asking for a date with a couple of jailbirds. I doubt he was singing jailhouse rock. This showed his wife up pretty good. I just have to wonder if he did it for altruistic reasons? Or to show up the Obummer? Or to check out some future nookie. I even wonder what might have happened on the plane ride back.
I wonder if the ladies felt safer in the clutches of Dear Leader Kim or Bubba Bill.

The Sottomayor Confirmation

The placeholder nomination of Sonja Sottomayor is such a non issue as to be absurd. This obviously mentally deficient woman is no match for the likes of the current Chief Justice.
The woman is obviously unhealthy and will make a good placeholder for the post until she probably dies in office within 15 years. At 55 she will, in my estimation, not see the ripe old age of 68. This would put it in about the middle of the next Republicans second term. She's already so frail that she broke her ankle simply running to catch a plane. This is the sign of a wino, soft bones and a puffy face. Trust me, I used to be a drunk. I can tell.
She's definitely not a worry. More of a joke.
