There is a theory that carbon dioxide levels actualy trail temperature levels. Since the temps have been declining in the last ten years I wonder if the carbon dioxide levels are falling now. I wait with baited breath for the 2009 figures to be calculated.

Nobel's obvious gambit

In the wake of the stunning award of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barak Hussein Obama several questions arise. Was this a gambit by the Nobel committee to forestall the increase of troop strength in Afghanistan while trying to boost Obama's prestige to aid him here at home? To further the liberal agenda for Nationalized Healthcare? To create an international bandaid for his embarassment at the Olympic Committee Meeting?
I must say that I believe it was the first. They are trying to interfere in American military affairs. This is unacceptable. The prize should have been refused.
It is so transparent a ploy that the President himself addressed the blatant attempt.

Nobel has become a joke. It has been since the day they awarded it to Yasser Arafat.

Our soldiers are hostages.

The Obama administration and the Democrat party are holding our soldiers hostage. They are letting soldiers die to force the passage of the Health Care bill now before congress. They did the same thing to President Bush to force the growth of government that occurred during his administration. Did you wonder why Pelosi et al never cut off funding for the war? This is the reason. They were using our defense posture as a weapon in the war to take over the whole government.
These people are Traitors with a capitol T. They are destroying our nation for personal political gain.
There will be no reinforcements for our soldiers in Afghanistan until the House and Senate agree on a Health Care Bill. This is MURDER. This is TREASON.

The Kanye West, Taylor Swift incident is a ploy by West et al to make a Hollywood example of how you're supposed to be contrite and then apologize for being a jerk. By this weekend it will be twisted around to make it an example of how Joe Wilson is supposed to come to the floor of the House.

Cellular service in far Waziristan?

In a story from the AP about fighters for both sides of the conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan they say that the reporters cell phones were confiscated by the local militia. This makes me think the story is a fake. Unless the cellular phones they use in Pakistan are far superior to ours here in Knoxville, they couldn't possibly be getting service in a war zone.
